This lively and thought-provoking class explores how the aesthetics of a dish influence our perception of its taste. Participants will learn how to use colours and textures to their best advantage and how to use those small details that make a dish, be it plated or out of the oven, mouthwateringly attractive.
Techniques covered at the class include presentation using spoons, carving tips for decorations, the importance of trimming and calibrating vegetables, and straining sauces.
Participants can expect to leave the class with a sound introduction to professional presentation and the confidence to put their new skills into practice.
