Masterclass
Eastside Inn’s chef patron, Bjorn van der Horst, has put together a unique package of masterclasses with a difference. In these classes, he shares his learning from years of culinary training in France, the United States and the UK with some of the world’s most highly regarded chefs.
Not just another cooking lesson, each class in the series is designed to embrace Bjorn and Justine’s philosophy of conviviality and hospitality. With such highly original themes as ‘Childhood memories’, ‘Taste it before you cook it’, and ‘Does ‘pretty’ taste better?’, the programme of classes aims to give participants a rewarding experience that provides a strong foundation on which they can build.
Masterclasses are held by Bjorn van der horst at Eastside Inn, they take place in the open kitchen on Saturdays. Classes are available now priced at £150 per person. These intimate cooking experiences last approximately four hours starting at 9am. Guests can also sample the fruits of the labours in the dining room with their chosen guest and the sommelier will organise an informal wine-tasting to tie in with the day’s theme.
At the end of their lunch, participants can return to their home kitchen to practice their new skills and enjoy their renewed confidence with a package of recipes, tips and other small gifts.
